What You Should Actually Know About Future Steps International School Bangkok
Future Steps International School Bangkok (FSB) is a co-educational British international day school in central Bangkok's Sukhumvit area, serving children aged 16 months to 11 years from Pre-Nursery through Year 6. Founded in 1997 as The First Steps International Pre-School, the school expanded in August 2024 with a purpose-built primary campus on the adjacent site, building on over 27 years of early childhood education. FSB follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework for its younger learners and the English National Curriculum for primary students. English is the language of instruction, with additional programs in Thai, French, German, Japanese, and Mandarin.
Future Steps places strong emphasis on social and emotional learning alongside academic growth, with deliberately small class sizes averaging 17 students and teaching assistants present in every classroom. Set across 5.8 rai on Sukhumvit Soi 31 and 39, the campus features two indoor heated saltwater swimming pools (25-metre for Primary and 15-metre for Early Years), two air-conditioned multipurpose sports halls, two all-weather artificial grass football pitches, a 60-metre rooftop sprinting track, a dance studio, music rooms, libraries, art and STEAM spaces, and extensive outdoor play areas including a jungle gym, sandpit, and bicycle area.
The school community represents a wide range of nationalities and fosters an inclusive, multicultural environment. FSB's motto is Flourish, Succeed, Belong, reflecting its commitment to nurturing confident, well-rounded learners through joyful, engaging, and challenging education wrapped in exceptional pastoral care. A tuk-tuk shuttle connects the campus to the nearby BTS station.
